I'm an Inco pensioner
and lifetime resident of the Walden area.
I've always been interested in carving and can remember one of
my first pieces at the age of ten was a replica of my dad's pump
action 22 rifle.
My special interests include Scandinavian carving,
collecting antique tools, and carving books.
I'm basically self taught and over the years have
learned through observing other carvers, studying carving books,
and taking week end courses.
In 2007 I added soapstone carving to the list
after attending a weekend course presented by Sandy Cline. I
found myself "hooked" immediately.
With encouragement from my family I entered the
Keepsake's juried Craft show in 2008 and found the experience
to be very positive.
